Our Species List

Wildlife is active all year here, but is at its most diverse from early spring to late autumn. Below you can browse our species lists by taxonomic group and by time of the year, presented as the academic calendar starting with the month of September. These include flora and fauna for all the locations that we can visit.

Instructions

  • To see what stages plants are at for each month, select the desired phenological state(s) from the drop-down list and then click on the desired month in the chart to display a list below the figure.
  • To add taxonomic groups of animals to the graph, click on the desired group(s) from the drop-down list. You can add as many as you like at a time. To remove them from the chart, delete them from the selection. To view a list of species for each month independently, click on each month as above.
  • The ‘Soundscape’ tab shows the numbers of acoustically signalling animals for each month. Click above each month within the graph to see a species list for that month.
